Alan Harris began their artistic journey selling original artworks online, a venture that paved the way for further exploration of their passion. Alongside their wife, Susana Harris who is also an accomplished artist, they opened a gallery in Newcastle. This experience was enriching, allowing them to connect with art enthusiasts and showcase their creations. However, the demands of running a gallery left little time for painting, prompting them to close the space. Since 2014, Alan and Susana has focused on working from their studio in the charming coastal town of Whitley Bay selling their work online that enable them to dedicate more time to their craft

From childhood, Alan has been captivated by art and all forms of manual creativity. Their educational journey began at a grammar school, where the foundation for his artistic inclinations was laid. After completing his studies, Alan embarked on a career as a cabinetmaker, which honed his skills in craftsmanship and attention to detail. Over the years, he has explored various roles in both manual and administrative fields. Eventually, he retired from a position as a personal director at a company, allowing him to fully immerse himself in painting and later, sculpture.
